Feel/Hear/See/Do: A Digital Odyssey - Instructions and Guidance

Welcome to Feel/Hear/See/Do: A Digital Odyssey, a multi-sensory engagement with the urban environment exploring site, sensations, and flows of movement created especially for Leeds Digital Festival in 2018. You might have lived in Leeds for a long time or you might have arrived in the city more recently. Whatever your situation, this is an invitation to experience the city in a different way.
This performance walk will take around 45 minutes. You will need an iPhone and a set of headphones. This is an individual journey that you will do on your own and should be undertaken in daylight. You can choose to start your journey at any moment of the day, but we suggest that you do so between 10 am and 6pm.
Before you begin you will need to download the free Immersive Tours App onto your mobile from the App Store before you arrive. This is best achieved where you have a wi-fi connection.
Once you have the Immersive Tours App on your phone then search 'Feel' in the 'Search for a new tour' box and the tour Feel/Hear/See/Do will appear. Select it and click the orange download bar.
The App will then guide you on your Digital Odyssey…
We do not foresee any risks related to the journey, but the places where you will be walking are changing constantly. Please, be aware of what is around you and take the normal precautions when walking everyday in the city. Be particularly careful when crossing roads. Do not place yourself in danger!
We advise you to wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions and flat-soled footwear.

When you are ready, make your way to the Leeds Dental Hospital on Clarendon Way. This is the road that runs West from the mini roundabout by Leeds General Infirmary and is just to the South of the University of Leeds campus.
There are instructions on how to get to the Clarendon Way Dental Hospital by public transport - there's a bus stop here
The starting point for this digital odyssey (53°48'10.7"N 1°33'23.3"W) is hidden away in a little car-park to the West of the Leeds Dental institute and adjacent to Little Woodhouse Hall. The map function on the App (Folded paper icon at top right of the screen) will guide you to the exact point of departure and will help you on your journey if at any time you feel lost!
